Our Team
Family Mediator Yorkshire is fortunate to have a team of mediators who are all professionally qualified and have wide ranging experience; we can assist family members to reach practical solutions where family relationships have broken down.
All of our mediators are accredited by the Family Mediation Council.
CATHY URWIN
Cathy has worked as a family mediator for many years in South Yorkshire. Prior to working as a family mediator, she was employed as a solicitor specialising in family law. She is a member of the Family Mediators Association.
VANESSA STIRUM
Vanessa has been employed previously as a court welfare officer, (now called a cafcass officer) and as a Guardian ad Litem in adoption proceedings. In addition she has worked in the NHS as a non executive director. Until recently, Vanessa sat on the national Board of the Family Mediators Association.
SARA ROBINSON
Sara used to work as a barrister specialising in family work from chambers in Sheffield. She now combines family mediation with work as an associate lecturer in law at the Sheffield Hallam University. Sara is qualified to consult children within the mediation process and also qualified to supervise other mediators. Sara is a member of the Family Mediators Association.
RUKSANA ASLAM
Ruky is our administrator. She too has many years of experience of work in law firms and family mediation practices in South Yorkshire
